An apprenticeship is a work-based training programme that allows you to earn while you learn. It combines practical experience in the workplace with theoretical study to help you gain the skills, knowledge, and behaviours needed for your chosen career.

You will be employed, receive a regular wage, and work typically between 30–40 hours per week (although reduced hours may be agreed in certain cases).

From 1 April 2025, apprentices must be paid at least £7.55 per hour, in line with the National Minimum Wage for apprentices.
