Responsibilities & Tasks
- Understanding legislation surrounding tax
- Dealing with queries from clients and HMRC
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for a selection of our clients
- Bank reconciliations
- Building working relationships with our clients
- Monitoring client compliance
- Supporting the bookkeeping and accounts department to gather
- information from clients in a timely manner
- Preparing financial statements showing business income and expenditure
Apprenticeship Programme & Training
- Full day-to-day training will be provided by the employer.
- This apprenticeship qualification is called Level 2 Accounts/Finance Assistant.
- The learning will be delivered by dedicated, industry-specialist tutors via remote or face-to-face sessions. The only exception are AAT exams – these may need to take place at a local examination centre.
- These session take place once per month, for roughly 2 hours, at a time convenient for both you and the employer.
- You will also complete a Vendor or Professional Qualification alongside the apprenticeship, which is chosen by the employer to be most relevant to the job role. This will either be the AAT Level 2 Certificate in Accounting, the ACCA Certificate in Financial and Management Accounting (Level 2), the IAB Level 2 Certificate in Bookkeeping or the ICB Level 2 Certificate in Bookkeeping.
- You can expect to be eligible for Accounting & Finance posts, or for a higher-level apprenticeship upon completing this apprenticeship.
