  • Speaking to customers who owe money and noting down details of conversations

  • Take on any reasonable ad hoc duties to ensure the smooth running of the Company
  • Prepare and assist with bi-annual stock checks adhering to company procedure
  • Assist with training and development of all new recruits where appropriate
  • Report any health and safety issues
  • Keep a customer friendly working environment and follow the clear desk policy at the end of each day
  • Full day-to-day training will be provided by the employer.
  • This apprenticeship qualification is called Level 2 Accounts/Finance Assistant.
  • If you do not have grades A-C/9-4 in GCSE maths and English, you will be required to complete Level 1 Functional Skills maths and English.
  • The learning will be delivered by dedicated, industry-specialist tutors via remote or face-to-face sessions. The only exception are AAT exams – these may need to take place at a local examination centre.
  • These session take place once per month, for roughly 2 hours, at a time convenient for both you and the employer.
  • You will also complete a Vendor or Professional Qualification alongside the apprenticeship, which is chosen by the employer to be most relevant to the job role. This will either be the AAT Level 2 Certificate in Accounting, the ACCA Certificate in Financial and Management Accounting (Level 2), the IAB Level 2 Certificate in Bookkeeping or the ICB Level 2 Certificate in Bookkeeping.
  • You can expect to be eligible for Accounting & Finance posts, or for a higher-level apprenticeship upon completing this apprenticeship.
