Responsibilities & Tasks
- Supporting the PM, this role will ultimately be the focal point for all Payroll related queries so involves responding to all telephone, e-mail and letter enquires received in a timely and accurate manner to ensure a good level of service is given to employees, managers and third parties to ensure customer satisfaction is maintained.
- Review and update tax code changes via HMRC’s Electronic Data Interface (EDI) to ensure current tax codes are applied correctly.
- Assist with routine and non-routine administrative tasks as required in support of the HR function.
- Assist the PM in processing payroll payments for starters, leavers and changes to ensure they are accurate.
- Support the PM in ensuring monthly payslips and P45’s are uploaded into the HRIS within agreed timescales
- Input Maternity/Paternity/Adoption leave to enable the HR/Payroll system to calculate any payments due, following instruction from the HR team.

Apprenticeship Programme & Training
- Full day-to-day training will be provided by the employer.
- This apprenticeship qualification is called Level 3 Payroll Administrator.
- The learning will be delivered by dedicated, industry-specialist tutors via remote sessions. The only exception are any speaking and listening assessments – these may be delivered in a classroom.
- These session take place once per month, for roughly 2 hours, at a time convenient for both you and the employer.
